Dr. Wood’s interest in teaching was sparked as a student, born out of her admiration for the virtuosity of one of her graduate school professors, who made teaching a performance art. Dr. Wood received a BS in Psychology with High Honors from Guilford College, in Greensboro, NC and an MEd in Community Counseling (with specialties in group and family) from Georgia State University in 1981. She went on to earn another master’s degree, this time in Clinical Psychology, and a PsyD from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in 1997 with her thesis on false memory syndrome. She has taught part time at Kennesaw State on and off since the Spring of 1998, including Introduction to General Psychology, Social Issues, Theories of Personality, and Ethics. Her clinical interests include feminist psychology, ethics, addictions, trauma, and the dissociative disorders.
